Osmund Hansen (1908-1995) was a Danish artist working predominantly with bright colours to produce bold geometric shapes. He was a self-taught painter, balancing his burgeoning artistic career with a separate career in the energy industry - in turn earning him his contemporary reputation as a part-time office worker, part-time painter. 

Despite being oil paintings, his pieces often appear as a kind of collage, consisting of shapes with sharp, distinct edges layered on top of one another. His work is not restricted by a preference for a specific colour palette, but rather utilises bold, strong colours in conjunction with darker muted ones to produce the striking contrasts seen here. Weaving together separate elements and images, Hansen makes the most of the comparison between the harsh dark lines with the brighter yellow tones to produce this visually compelling and textured piece.

Local Bulky Item Delivery Guidelines
Large item deliveries (sofas, lounge chairs, storage, tables, floor lighting, etc.) on orders below £1,000 and within the local vicinity of our showroom in East London (E2, E5, E8, E9, N1 + N16) are charged at a flat rate of £18.

Greater London/UK Bulky Item Delivery Guidelines
Large item deliveries below £1,000 and outside of our local area but within Greater London are charged at a flat rate of £28. Mainland UK large item deliveries are priced at £48.

Large item orders over £1,000 are shipped free of charge within London and the UK mainland.

Returns

For items purchased over the phone or online we do offer the standard 14 day cooling off period whereby the customer is entitled to a full refund (excluding shipping charges), no questions asked. Publications are non-refundable.

We do not offer refunds or returns on items bought in person in store unless the goods in question are proven faulty/unfit for purpose.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
