Inge Dahl (b. 1956) is a contemporary artist producing playful, colourful pieces that form a kind of mosaic of line drawings, colourful swatches, and layered textures. She has been widely written about in Danish press, and her art has been exhibited at galleries such as Galerie Elise Toft. Writing about her own practice, Dahl has stated that she ‘believe[s] in colour as a global means of communication [...] as I compose with a brush, I feel myself weaving the spirit, of exuberance, of life itself’.

This ‘weaving’ together of different elements can be seen distinctly in Dahl’s work. Beyond painting, she produces collages, but her approach to both is largely similar. Bringing together contrasting features is a theme across her work, regardless of the medium. Yet, even when she brings together seemingly contrasting elements, there is a sense of harmony and coherence in her pieces. The bright washes of colour in this painting, paired with the abstracted silhouettes at the top of the piece, produces an endearingly carnivalesque effect felt throughout Dahl’s work.

Large item deliveries (sofas, lounge chairs, storage, tables, floor lighting, etc.) on orders below £500 and within the local vicinity of our showroom in East London (E2, E3, E4, E5, E8, E9, E10, E15, E17, N1 + N16) are charged at a flat rate of £18.

Greater London/UK Bulky Item Delivery Guidelines
Large item deliveries below £500 and outside of our local area but within Greater London are charged at a flat rate of £28. Mainland UK large item deliveries are priced at £48.

Large item orders over £500 are shipped free of charge within London and the UK mainland.

For international delivery please contact us for a quote.

Returns

For items purchased over the phone or online we do offer the standard 14 day cooling off period whereby the customer is entitled to a full refund (excluding shipping charges), no questions asked. Publications are non-refundable.

We do not offer refunds or returns on items bought in person in store unless the goods in question are proven faulty/unfit for purpose.
