Denmark-based artist Lisa Kaas Hansen originally trained as a porcelain painter. She studied in Stockholm under the guidance of artists Hanne Swane and Gerda Swane and throughout her career has exhibited at a number of cultural centres and arts associations in Denmark.

In this oil on canvas, the artist has brought together a colour palette of earthy tones and gestural paint marks to create an expressive and energetic composition. Rich, dark browns and dashes of icy blues and whites remind us of colours found in nature, suggesting that the artist is interested in observing and capturing the essence of the natural world. The layers of paint appear to have been applied using both brushes and flat palette knives to create depth and variation across the surface of the canvas.

    Large item deliveries outside of our local area but within Greater London are charged at a flat rate of £36.

    Mainland UK large item deliveries are priced at £58.*

    *Please note! Our delivery costs include a one-person delivery service with delivery to the ground floor only. If you are unable to assist with unloading or require your purchase to be carried up any flights of stairs there will be an extra cost. Please be sure to inform us at checkout of any special circumstances.

    Returns

    For items purchased over the phone or online we do offer the standard 14 day cooling off period whereby the customer is entitled to a full refund (excluding shipping charges), no questions asked. A 10% restocking fee may be applied to furniture returns at our discretion.

    We do not offer refunds or returns on publications or items bought in person in store unless the goods in question are proven faulty/unfit for purpose.
