Frans Vester Pedersen (1934-1972) is a Danish Postwar artist. Throughout his body of work, his paintings typically involved rural landscape scenes, often depicting fields that merged into abstract, hazy horizons. So a distinguishing quality about this particular piece is his change in subject matter, shifting to explore human-made structures. The choice of cooler, pale turquoise tones also represent a departure from the earthy colour palette of his other works.

The free and loose brushwork in this painting is clear, with visible bristle marks adding energy and movement to the scene. To bring the painting together, the artist has chosen to allow the colours to run into each other, creating an effect similar to a colour wash. This technique creates an overall unity of colour and creates a sense of a hazy, humid atmosphere.

Greater London/UK Bulky Item Delivery Guidelines
Large item deliveries below £1,000 and outside of our local area but within Greater London are charged at a flat rate of £36. Mainland UK large item deliveries are priced at £58.*

Large item orders over £1,000 are shipped free of charge within London and the UK mainland.*

*Please note! Our delivery costs include a one-person delivery service with delivery to the ground floor only. If you are unable to assist with unloading or require your purchase to be carried up any flights of stairs there will be an extra cost. Please be sure to inform us at checkout of any special circumstances.

Returns

For items purchased over the phone or online we do offer the standard 14 day cooling off period whereby the customer is entitled to a full refund (excluding shipping charges), no questions asked. Publications are non-refundable.

We do not offer refunds or returns on items bought in person in store unless the goods in question are proven faulty/unfit for purpose.
