Danish artist Poul E. Rasmussen produced a number of paintings throughout his life that ranged in scale and technique. A well-respected commission of his was a large public mural in Sakskøbing made up of four panels depicting the seasons. He also carried out several commissions for the Sakskøbing Municipality, including paintings for the city council hall.

In this relief piece, the repetition of the two pink forms in varying placements creates a playful sense of animation and rhythm, guiding our eye to move over the circular shapes in quick succession.

When we explore the individual sections of the grid, we can experience a tangible tension between the circular shape that rests on the abstract form. By creating this balancing act, the artist appears to want to explore how the human mind perceives gravitational forces and spatial awareness through a purely visual language.

    Delivery

    Small item deliveries (ceramics, candles, prints, glassware, etc.) are shipped with Royal Mail or DPD. Prices are calculated at checkout.

    Local Bulky Item Delivery Guidelines
    Large item deliveries (sofas, lounge chairs, storage, tables, floor lighting, etc.) on within the local vicinity of our showroom in East London (E2, E5, E8, E9, N1 + N16) are charged at a flat rate of £24.*

    Greater London/UK Bulky Item Delivery Guidelines
    Large item deliveries outside of our local area but within Greater London are charged at a flat rate of £36.

    Mainland UK large item deliveries are priced at £58.*

    *Please note! Our delivery costs include a one-person delivery service with delivery to the ground floor only. If you are unable to assist with unloading or require your purchase to be carried up any flights of stairs there will be an extra cost. Please be sure to inform us at checkout of any special circumstances.

    Returns

    For items purchased over the phone or online we do offer the standard 14 day cooling off period whereby the customer is entitled to a full refund (excluding shipping charges), no questions asked. A 10% restocking fee may be applied to furniture returns at our discretion.

    We do not offer refunds or returns on publications or items bought in person in store unless the goods in question are proven faulty/unfit for purpose.
